The International Rescue Committee (IRC) began working with Afghan refugee communities in Pakistan in 1980, and first started implementing programs inside Afghanistan in 1988. IRC Afghanistan program is working in 8 provinces including Kabul Main Office; IRC Afghanistan is working in Education, National Solidarity Program and Humanitarians Program.
Main Purpose of the Job
The Community Mobilizer will establish and maintain contacts with the community members, elders and teachers; establish and train the project related Shuras, CDCs and mobilize the communities for the support of the IRC/BPRM program in the target communities. Community mobilization is the starting point and backbone in implementing the IRC projects. He will be supervised by IRC project supervisor, and will work closely with the Humanitarian Program Manager.
