System Enhancement for Health Action in Transition (SEHAT) Project is the largest project of MoPH that is financed by the World Bank IDA, the ARTF and the HRITF. The mentioned project will finance the implementation of the BPHS and EPHS through contracting out and contracting in arrangements both in rural and urban areas in provinces now supported by the EU, the ARTF and the world bank, covering a total of twenty one provinces in the country (out of 34 provinces). SEHAT will be a platform nation-wide project, which will allow for financing health services in more provinces if additional resources become available. The project will also strengthen the national health system and MoPH capacity at central and provincial levels, so it can effectively perform its stewardship functions in the sector. The SEHAT project in comparison to SHARP project, includes 23 additional provinces that were previously managed via PCH and off budget mechanism, now for the better financial management of these additional 23 provinces plus some added components of the project, MoPH requires additional FM contracted staffs to be recruited in SEHAT FM unit in MoPH.
